Daniela is a Gestalt and Creative Arts Counsellor working with individuals, couples, and groups through a relational, embodied, and creative Gestalt and Person-Centred approach. She offers a warm, supportive, and non-judgmental space to navigate emotions and thoughts, develop self-awareness and acceptance, and promote change attuned with our true nature.
Through relational dialogue, creative arts, and embodied experience, sessions with Daniela are alive and active, a collaborative journey of discovery that supports people in moving from feeling stuck toward a more authentic, connected, and fulfilling way of living.
Daniela’s approach is integrative and creative, adapting fluidly to the pace and needs of each individual. She draws from:
Gestalt Therapy and Embodied Process: working in the “here and now” to illuminate patterns in how we relate to ourselves and others
Person-Centred Creative Arts: using artwork to give voice to what words alone cannot always reach.
Daniela works with young people (ages 13+) and adults across a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, stress, relational trauma, loneliness, low self-esteem, shame, emotional dysregulation, identity, digital wellbeing, and technology addiction. Sessions are available in English and Italian.
Daniela’s background is rooted in philosophy, holding a MSc degree in Contemporary Philosophy, a foundation that drew her naturally toward applied ethics and the study of the human emotions and mind. Drawn to practical and experiential tools that could bring this thinking to life, she trained formally in Psychosocial Gestalt, gaining her Diploma in 2016, before going on to deepen her clinical grounding with an MSc in Clinical and Rehabilitation Psychology. This journey, from philosophical inquiry through Gestalt practice into clinical psychology, continues to shape her existential and relational approach today.
Before moving to the UK, Daniela spent several years teaching Italian to refugees, an experience that deepened her sensitivity to identity, displacement, and the courage it takes to begin again in unfamiliar territory. She also trained as a Sexual Consultant and Educator, and as a Clinical Expert in Technological Addictions, two specialisms that continue to inform her understanding of how people relate to themselves, their bodies, and the digital world. During this period, she also co-facilitated group workshops as a Counselling Tutor at the Centro Italiano di Gestalt (Catania, Italy).
Since moving to the UK, Daniela has worked as a Mental Health and Wellbeing Practitioner with children and young people aged 5–21 with complex SEND, ASD, and ADHD needs, and as a Counsellor and ADHD Assessor at Rainbow Medical Group in Oxford, administering the DIVA-5 and Young DIVA-5 under the supervision of Consultant Psychiatrists. She holds specialist training in the ADOS-2 and ADI-R and brings this neurodiversity affirming perspective into both her assessment and therapeutic work. She has also integrated in her approach the use of Person-Centred Creative Arts in therapy at APCCA, Association for Person-Centred Creative Arts (UK). She is currently in the second year of an MSc in Gestalt Psychotherapy at the H.C.C. Institute (Italy).
